2015 Fall Semester For Chinese Cultural Experience—Calligraphy

At the beginning of 2015 fall semester, students and teachersaccording to our tradition had a very interesting Chinese characters writingclass in Shanghai College of International Education (SCIE).


Based on the analysis of Chinese calligraphy characteristics,the role of Chinese characters writing in the development of Chinese culturaland aesthetic thinking was explained and the inherent cultural significance ofChinese calligraphy was surveyed. Through analysis, it is believed that theuniqueness, evolution and native-tradition of Chinese characters and calligraphycan motivate its communication with other cultures in the world and itsdevelopment, and function as internal channels for the connection with moderncultures.
